Dreading Mondays

So it's Sunday. The morning is generally a relaxing time for most, but have you found by 5 or 6 pm you get a wave of dread come over you when you think about Monday morning?

You're not alone!

You will have many good reasons for this. Perhaps it's the dread of feeling totally swamped yet again for another week that has been unrelenting for months or you have to deal with that ONE person who appears to go out of their way to make you feel totally incapable of doing the right thing. Your mood changes, you may become quiet, grumpy or simply lash out at the kids for no real reason. These are signs that you're not happy. ....and you deserve to be, you work damn hard.

So what can be done?

Well many things believe it or not. So let's see how you can take back control over your life. Firstly, when that wave of anxiety hits, recognise it for what it is. Then do, what I call, 'the 7-4-8 rule'. Breath in through your nose for 7 seconds, hold for 4, then breath out through your mouth for 8 seconds. Do this 4 times. Yes, it's that breathing thing! But try it. It will help I promise.

There are many practical ways to make Monday a happier day. PM me for coaching, I have many useable techniques in my toolkit, I've been where you are today... I get it!
